Divisional HR Manager

Multi-Billion dollar diversified manufacturer

DESCRIPTION:

Reports To: Vice President, Operational HR

This position leads the HR and Organizational Advancement function for the business unit. This position directs the activities of 4 HR Managers and their teams at other facilities. This position matrixes globally for alignment of Business HR activities across the globe. This position interacts closely with HR Managers in other businesses and centers to ensure consistency in application of policies and procedures, particularly as related to talent management. Lastly, this position executes HR due diligence and integration for business acquisitions and divestitures.

Essential Responsibilities
1. Lead and align HR strategy and day-to-day HR functions across the Business.
2. Direct the activities of 4 HR Managers and their teams in other facilities. Align. Develop, coach and mentor the HR Generalists in the business.
3. Drive the deployment of business HR programs, such as Workforce Planning, Leadership Pipeline, Succession Planning, etc.
4. Lead the delivery of HR support and business partnering based on the delivery model:

a. Lead formulation of HR strategy for the business
b. Lead organization design and restructure
c. Drive talent management processes
d. Drive team effectiveness initiatives
e. Lead and maintain cost structure and drive right-sizing initiatives
f. Drive performance management
g. Lead bench strength assessment/succession planning and drive talent development
h. Lead workforce planning and support talent acquisition
i. Lead resolution of complaints

5. Maintain matrix or dotted-line relationships with HR representatives at business plants and off-shore locations, coaching and/or directing them across the full range of HR issues outlined above.
6. Matrix with other Business HR Executives on the planning and execution of global manufacturing HR initiatives.
7. Lead the execution of due diligence and integration for acquisitions and divestitures, aligning and working closely with corporate resources in Total Rewards, Associate Benefits and Associate Relations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Formal Education/Training:
    • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or related field  
    • Prefered: MBA, MSIR, Masters in HR, JD in Labor & Employment Law, JD in Industrial Relations, GPHR Certification, SPHR Certification
  • 18 – 20 years’ experience including leadership in various HR functions
  • Significant line operations experienc
