DESCRIPTION:

The overarching purpose of the Industry Marketing Manager role is to diversify into targeted new accounts, applications, and markets in the healthcare and medical industry. This position is responsible for identifying and commercializing opportunities in targeted market segments with the purpose of diversifying the account, application, and market portfolio. This position places a commercial focus on strategic market diversification, and works with internal resources to execute a strategic marketing plan. The position insures that communication across the company is seamless and that the company is in a position to take advantage of critical market and customer opportunities. This position should be occupied by a “seasoned” strategic Industry Marketing Manager accountable for market revenue growth and new product commercialization. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute strategic marketing, business development, and marketing communications plans for the healthcare and medical market.
  • Meet or exceed annual business objectives for revenue and gross margin in assigned markets.
  • Meet or exceed business development objectives for sales funnel build in assigned markets. 
  • Establish and direct business development teams (sales, operations, and technical personnel) as necessary to achieve established goals and strategic business plans.
  • Work with Marketing and Technology teams and other internal resources to develop and implement multigenerational plans as needed to meet customer wants and needs. 
  • Act as commercial lead on assigned product development programs. 
  • Support pertinent product development programs and implement in assigned markets. 
  • Prepare and present sales and technical information as necessary to support current business and development programs at customers and with strategic suppliers.
  • Act as leader and role model to others within the commercial organization.
  • May have some limited supervisory/mentorship role as a leader within the organization.
  • Travel up to 60%.
  • Other projects /duties as assigned or needed.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have a strong knowledge of plastics or polymers and thorough understanding of the medical and healthcare industry to be considered a candidate
  • Demonstrated sales and business development performance, with strong technical aptitude
  • Ability to develop business strategy
  • Ability to communicate both business and technical information to a variety of audiences

Required Length & Type of Experience:

  • Minimum of 7+ year's selling/business development experience. Technical experience required. 
  • Must have a strong knowledge of plastics or polymers and thorough understanding of the medical and healthcare industry to be considered a candidate
