Our client was voted one of this metropolitan city’s 100 fastest growing privately held companies, our client is a Fortune 5000 business office, pre-paid and electronic payment solutions company with 20% annual growth year over year including growth in emerging markets.
DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Sales, the Sales Executive will deliver the company’s product solution. The role of the Sales Executive is developing new business and maintaining existing business with the product solution. Demonstrate the positive impact to the clients’ bottom line and producing efficiencies for administration while delivering benefits of flexibility, convenience and control to the customer. Engage in conversion, penetration, and retention of accounts within an assigned geographic territory. This position will be responsible for identifying, positioning, and expanding opportunities for the line of business within the company. The role focuses on pursuing and selling our technology solution to new and existing clients. Engage new and existing clients by creating value, develop deep relationships and strengthen loyalty.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and accomplish a national lead generation plan, strategically aligned with the vertical established within the company
- Effectively create and deliver qualified leads
- Work closely with marketing on implementation of strategies which will drive leads into the company
- Identify and establish contact with potential clients, identifying decision makers proactively through phone prospecting and lead follow up to start the sales process
- Maintain contact with new and existing clients to advertise the new and existing product lines and deliver a detailed account strategy
- Prepare and deliver client presentations
- Test new product releases to support product development
- Provide feedback from potential and existing clients on enhanced product functioning and service delivery
- Assist in identifying opportunities for upcoming product development
- Ensure effective internal communication within Sales, Marketing and Client Support Departments
- Document complete and accurate information on all sales activities in Salesforce.com, including activity, contacts, opportunities, etc
- Essential education on solution and industry knowledge as well as corporate operating procedures
- Foster superior client service, responsiveness and company representation during new and existing client interactions
- Immense knowledge of competitor’s products, prices and services
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, conventions to develop industry expertise and to team build.
- Meet and exceed sales revenue targets and accomplish corporate objectives
- Attend weekly sales team meetings and participate fully in weekly one on one’s with the Executive Vice President of Sales
Experience
- A successful sales track record
- Exhibits an attitude of expecting to win and will strive to be at the top
- Proven ability in building a strong pipeline, closing business and exceeding quota
- Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment
- Professional sales skills and the ability to effectively negotiate
- Strong desire to control and close
- Highly proficient level of computers skills including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Proficiency using the SalesForce.com CRM application a plus
- Experience in providing sales functional and technical demonstration
- Prior sales training in The Sandler Selling System (or equivalent program)
- Experience in working with Higher Education Institutions and or experience working in the electronic payment, billing and refund space
Education
- A Bachelor’s Degree preferred along with five plus years of experience
